    About the area

    HARRIETSHAM (on the A20, seven miles east of Maidstone)

    The village is split in two by the A20, with the south side featuring a public house (The Roebuck inn) and the nearby Bell Farmhouse, said to be the most complete remaining Wealden house in Kent.

    On the quieter northern side, off West Street, are modern homes with views over open countryside

    Within walking distance of the North Downs, Harrietsham is a picture postcard village, complete with the locally preserved Saxon Church.
